Cheyenne's Story

Cheyenne was our very first Belgian Sheepdog — and she could not have been a more perfect introduction to the breed. True to the AKC standard, she embodied intelligence, courage, alertness, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Life with Cheyenne
Cheyenne excelled in everything we tried together. She was:
- The first Belgian Sheepdog in the U.S. to earn an AKC Rally title
- A lightning-fast agility competitor
- An inquisitive and skilled tracking dog
- A compassionate therapy dog, offering comfort to residents and mentoring other therapy teams
- An inspiring demo partner, showing thousands of owners what was possible when they worked with their dogs
Cheyenne's Legacy

But beyond her accomplishments, her greatest gift was her heart.
Her name, Cheyennigans — a playful blend of Cheyenne and Shenanigans — suited her perfectly. With her Belgian antics, she kept us laughing every single day. She wasn’t just a dog; she was my constant companion, my “best girl,” and my once-in-a-lifetime heart dog.
Cheyenne will always be missed, but her spirit continues to inspire everything we do at Chien Noir.
