Kiowa's Story

Kiowa came to us from Shiner’s breeder at a time when our family needed her most. Cody had been showing Shiner in 4-H, and when Shiner passed, Cody tried to show Cheyenne. But Cheyenne was always too focused on me to truly be his partner. Shiner’s breeder had a lovely puppy available — one who seemed destined for Cody from the very beginning. That puppy was Kiowa, and from the moment she joined our family, she was devoted to him. For her entire life, Cody was her person.

Life with Kiowa

Kiowa was a gentle, thoughtful soul. We often said she was the most cerebral Belgian we had ever known. You could almost see the wheels turning in her mind as she figured things out. Despite her intelligence, Kiowa’s happiness was simple — she was at her best whenever she was with her family. Whether we were training, traveling, or just relaxing at home, she wanted nothing more than to be part of whatever we were doing.

What made Kiowa so special was the quiet way she connected with us. She had an incredible ability to understand and adapt. With Cody, she formed a deep, unshakable bond. She gave him her loyalty, her patience, and her love, and he was her whole world.

Kiowa's Legacy

Kiowa left her mark on our hearts. She shone as a steadfast companion. Her devotion to Cody and her thoughtful nature made her one of a kind, and she will always be remembered as the gentle soul who fulfilled our lives.
