Shiner's Story
Shiner with Cody

Shiner’s breeder and owner was also my agility instructor when I was training with Cheyenne. When Cheyenne was in heat, she allowed me to work with Shiner. Already titled in agility, he was the most patient partner — guiding me as I learned how to be a better handler.

One day, his owner asked if we might consider keeping him. Shiner was having difficulty with some of the other dogs in her household, but he and Cheyenne got along wonderfully. We jumped at the opportunity to welcome him into our home.

Life with Shiner

Shiner was about six years old when he joined our family. He had already earned titles in obedience and agility, as well as his championship in conformation. With us, he was more than happy to set aside the spotlight and enjoy retirement as a cherished companion.

What stood out most about Shiner was his patience. He taught us, day by day, what it meant to truly be a partner. Beyond his titles and accomplishments, he gave us the quiet gift of wisdom and grace.

Shiner will always be remembered with love for his gentle spirit and the lessons he left behind.
