So many details, so little time! From supplies to training plans, everything is coming together for my new puppy.

🐾 My Head Is Spinning

With so much to prepare, my head is spinning — but the excitement of welcoming my new girl keeps me going.

Preparing Supplies

My “best of” supply research continues, and the list feels endless! Thankfully, Amazon Prime Day this week should help a bit. I received the AirTag holder for her collar from GoTag this week, and it’s perfect. Their team was wonderfully responsive, adjusting the engraving exactly how I wanted.

Logo & Website Updates

Progress on the website continues. I had hoped to finish it this week, but it looks like it’ll be next week instead. I’d forgotten how much goes into website development — it seems I break one thing every time I fix another!

Training & Socialization

I’ve been re-reading my training library, including Before You Get Your Puppy and After You Get Your Puppy, and am currently enjoying The Perfect Puppy. I also created a training plan and a socialization checklist to guide her first months.

I’ve spoken with both certified trainers I liked and will be sitting in on a class this week with the one that feels like the best fit.

Researching Facilities

I’ve scheduled a vet appointment for when she comes home. I also visited a boarding facility I’d researched — it was clean, welcoming, and met all my must-haves (including cameras and overnight staff).

I also looked into the paperwork required for flying with her back home. It turns out all we’ll need is a health certificate, which I’ve already arranged with the breeder.

Other Preparations

I created a packing list for traveling with her to ensure I won’t forget anything. Depending on timing, I may meet her for the first time and bring her home the same day — if she turns out to be “the one.”
